Visit coastal Valparaíso, get active in the adventure-sport mecca of Pucón, and journey to a genuine gaucho ranch outside of quaint, lakeside Bariloche, before finishing up in the iconic "don't cry for me" cosmopolis of Buenos Aires. Get yourself to this southern part of the world and go home recharged.

Tour price includes:

Singles wishing to share: We often get requests for single travelers wishing to share accommodation. If you are interested in traveling with a companion, please let us know, and we can try to match you up with a suitable traveling partner.
Transfers: To and from the airport to your hotel are included on the tour dates. Airport transfers can be arranged at a cost when you purchase extra nights before or after the vacation.
Insurance: Medical insurance is mandatory. Cancellation and trip interruption insurance is optional. Premiums depend on your age, the length of time away and the cost of your tour and insurance will be discussed and quoted at the time of booking.

Itinerary
January 5th - Santiago
Santiago: Hotel Nippon Santiago (or similar)
Arrive at any time. Arrival transfer is included. The day is free to spend at your leisure exploring the city. Santiago is Chile’s largest city and capital, with internationally recognized vineyards and Andean ski resorts very close by.
January 16 - Santiago
Head to Barrio Bellavista, as the locals call this bohemian neighbourhood, to enjoy a delicious meal, check out some art galleries, or have a drink at one of the many bars in the area.
After introductions this evening at our welcome meeting, your Expedition Leader will review the details of your tour. Opt to join the group for a local meal afterwards.
January 17th - Santiago / Valparaiso - Breakfast
Santiago / Valparaíso: Hotel Reina Victoria (or similar)
Enjoy a free morning in Valparaiso to soak it all in. Later, head to the Casablanca Valley.
There are plenty of famous wineries or smaller family-run places to stop by. Learn about the process, tour the vineyards, and of course, take a sample or two. After, head back to Santiago with free time before boarding an overnight bus to Pucon.
January 19th - Pucon - Breakfast
Pucon: Hostal Mahuida (or similar) 2 nights
Enjoy free time in Pucon, try whitewater rafting or explore the area by foot.

January 20th - Pucon - Breakfast
Enjoy another free day to take part in the many activities on offer in Pucon. Opt to hike Villarrica volcano (it’s active) or soak in the nearby thermal pools.
January 21st - Pucon / San Carlos de Bariloche - Breakfast
Cross the Andes to Argentina. Travel by local bus to San Martín and take a private van the rest of the way to Bariloche in the Lake District with a local guide. Enjoy the scenery and a couple of photo ops in the Seven Lakes District.
Border Crossing - Puella - Puerto Frias (Chile to Argentina) - Ready for a little more ink in your passport? Grab your bags and get ready to check another country off your bucket list.
January 22nd - San Carlos de Bariloche - Breakfast, Lunch
Transfer to a Gaucho Ranch just outside of Bariloche. Be an Argentinian Gaucho for the day and immerse yourself in the culture of these traditional Patagonia cowboys. Head out on an easy horseback ride through the beautiful scenery of Bariloche and learn about the area’s history from a real-life Gaucho. Stop along the way to try Mate, the national beverage of Argentina and some alfajores, a delicious dulce de leche cookie sandwich. Finish it all off with a traditional Patagonian barbecue.
January 23rd - San Carlos de Bariloche - Breakfast
Enjoy a free day to explore the beautiful area in and around Bariloche. Take a hike in the countryside or wander the town, known for its shops and in particular, artisan chocolate.
Optional Activities:
- Puerto Blest and Cantaros Waterfall Navigation - Spend a full day navigating the Blest arm of Lake Nahuel Huapi, spotting amazing highlights such as Centinela Island, Frias River, Valdivan Rainforest, and Tronador Mountain, landing at Cantaros Port. Opt to trek through the forest and enjoy views of Lake Cantaros and the adjacent waterfalls.
- Circuito Chico Tour - Enjoy an introduction to the highlights of San Carlos de Bariloche on a circuito chico tour. Stop at Bahia Lopez (Lopez Bay) and Panoramic Point and take in the beautiful landscape. Continue to Cerro Campanario (Bell Mountain), and opt to get an even better view by riding the chairlift.
- Hiking - Hit some trail to get up close to the area’s natural beauty. Enjoy amazing views amid mountains and lakes while exploring the Lake District on foot.
January 24th - San Carlos de Bariloche / Buenos Aires - Breakfast
Buenos Aires: Carsson Hotel (or similar) - 2 nights
Fly north to the bustling city of Buenos Aires. It is a vibrant city, full of life.
Discover the passion of tango. Watch the pros step and slide around the dance floor while you dine on a traditional Argentine dinner. Get lost in the music, savour the sensuality, and see why this traditional dance continues to ignite the senses of locals and visitors alike.
January 25th - Buenos Aires - Breakfast
Begin the experience in one of Buenos Aires' most iconic neighbourhoods, La Boca.
Cross the Riachuelo River for a unique cultural adventure to the resilient community of Isla Maciel. You will be led by expert guides from a local nonprofit organization. As you walk, they will share stories of the history, migration, and social transformation of this place. Enjoy a welcome at the Community Museum and discover its impressive open-air art gallery with murals created by local artists. Sit down and share a traditional lunch prepared by the women from the nieghbourhood as part of a GAdventures-supported community initiative. Through art, food, and local stories, this experience to Isla Maciel offers a meaningful perspective on how tourism can become a space for positive change.
This evening, we bid farewell to our fellow travelers at our final dinner.

Depart at any time, and an airport transfer is included.
